Construction Manager III / Lead SME

Overview

TeleWorld Solutions is seeking an experienced Construction Manager III / Lead Subject Matter Expert (SME) to oversee field construction operations for T-Mobile network projects, including new builds, upgrades, and site modifications. This position requires expertise in telecom construction, vendor management, and T-Mobile standards, as well as the ability to lead site development from pre-construction through closeout.

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong command of civil construction practices, permitting, quality assurance, and milestone tracking across multiple markets. This position includes a rental vehicle and involves extensive field travel to support projects on-site.

Responsibilities

🏗️ Construction Oversight & Field Leadership

• Serve as primary on-site construction lead across assigned T-Mobile macro, small cell, or DAS deployments
• Oversee civil, electrical, and structural construction activities, including grounding, power, shelter placement, tower erection, and cabinet installation
• Monitor daily construction progress, quality, and safety compliance
• Ensure proper execution of pre-construction walks, NTP (Notice to Proceed), and CLOSEOUT package validation

🤝 Vendor & Contractor Management

• Coordinate with general contractors, turf vendors, A&E firms, and utility providers
• Review and approve vendor work plans, scopes of work, redlines, and schedules
• Escalate performance issues, enforce quality standards, and ensure timely milestone completion

📋 Project Coordination & Reporting

• Track key milestones: NTP, Civil Start, Fiber Delivery, Integration Ready, and Site On-Air
• Utilize T-Mobile tools (e.g., FUZE, Site Tracker, PTS, Sprint LCP tools) to maintain real-time updates
• Maintain daily field reports, punch lists, and photographic documentation
• Provide regular updates to project managers, market leads, and construction teams

📑 Compliance & Closeout

• Verify compliance with T-Mobile standards, safety regulations (OSHA), and local codes
• Review redlines and as-builts; ensure submission of accurate and timely closeout packages (COPs)
• Attend and document punch walks, integration handoffs, and quality audits

Qualifications

• 5+ years of wireless telecom construction management experience
• Deep familiarity with T-Mobile construction standards, project tools, and documentation workflows
• Hands-on experience in field-based construction, troubleshooting, and vendor oversight
• Must be able to travel to remote sites; rental vehicle is provided
• Strong working knowledge of grounding systems, AC/DC power, shelter/tower installation, RF paths
• Experience managing civil crews, reviewing construction drawings, and conducting QA/QC inspections
