JOB SUMMARY
Works under moderate supervision to provide technical and supportive skills in operation of pharmacy. The role will work morning shift, 6am to 2:30pm to include every other weekend.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience
1 year Of experience in pharmacy or equivalent technician
- Licenses and Certifications
(TSBP) REG PHARMACY TECNICIAN As a Registered Technician or Pharmacist Intern Upon Hire and
BASIC LIFE SUPPORT Certification, course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) Upon Hire

JOB DUTIES
- Performs job responsibilities in accordance with organizational and departmental policies, procedures, performance improvement objectives and environmental and infection control standards.
- Coordinates daily workflow in assigned area and provides leadership to other technicians. Performs extemporaneous compounding. Repackages bulk medications into unit dose per departmental policy and procedure. Enters charges and credits and restocks returns.
- Makes good decisions, accepts responsibilities, and maintains competency in multiple areas.
- Accepts duty as knowledge and training resource for specific areas of responsibility and works to improve these areas.
- Accurately fills all orders, floor stock, and fill lists. Performs IV calculations and prepares all IV admixtures using proper aseptic technique. Handles all intravenous chemotherapy. Delivers medication on time.
- Performs extemporaneous compounding. Repackages bulk medications (oral, injectable, etc) into unit dose per departmental policy and procedure. Enters charges/credits and restocks returns accurately and consistently.
- Provides prompt and courteous service. Receives incoming calls and prioritizes bases on urgency or nature of requests.
- Audits and signs out all controlled substances in accordance with state and federal guidelines and organizational policies. Identifies and corrects discrepancies and reports
