As Utilities & Infrastructure Director, you are responsible for managing, maintaining and continuously improving the safe and efficient operation of the Geismar Site’s Utilities and Infrastructure, by providing leadership oversight, with a specific focus on Environmental, Health and Safety, Process Safety Management, Asset Effectiveness, Operational Excellence and continuous improvement and employee development.

You serve as a member of the Production Director Peer Network. 

As a Utilities and Infrastructure Director, You Create Chemistry By...

• Providing oversight of the Geismar Site Utilities and Infrastructure tactical activities and long-term strategic plans which ensures reliable, sustainable and increasingly competitive operations for the 32 plants located on the Geismar site.
• Driving Operational Excellence and EHS excellence in the Geismar Site Utilities and Infrastructure Areas including daily Operations, Asset Management, Technology, Engineering, Construction, Maintenance and Power Distribution.
• Working with all levels of the organization to drive continuous improvement, resolve technical problems and optimize and continuously improve operations reliability and efficiencies. 
• Managing the capital planning ($45M+ annually) and execution processes for Geismar (NAG) which includes idea generation, engineering, project development and the execution of projects on time, on scope and within budget.
• Managing the maintenance budget ($20M annually) and execution processes which includes maintenance planning, scheduling and execution of maintenance work on time, on scope and within budget.
• Owning the execution and continuous improvement of key production KPI’s and global benchmarks for Utilities and Infrastructure.
• Coordinating and managing the annual operating budgets for all Geismar Site Utilities offerings and infrastructure.
• Developing and leading a diverse team serving a variety of functions to achieve Partnership objectives; including development and tracking of Partnership agreements.
• Working on global benchmarking teams to help translate and drive site and process improvements.
• Ensuring that effective systems of continuous improvement, corrective action, and preventive actions are in place; establishing the measures of success for the site and ensuring that clear accountability is assigned for all key performance standards and objectives.
• Providing strategic input for 3rd party and co-location partners to create value for BASF.

If you...

• Petrochemical background.
• 15 years experience.
• Strong leadership skills, relationship skills and experience developing and leading high-performing teams. 
• Strong leadership skills overseeing Operations of a comprehensive Utilities facilities providing services to multiple stakeholders including 3rd parties.
• Experience managing capital planning maintenance and asset management processes.
• Proven ability to drive continuous improvement, resolve technical problems, and optimize operations and vertically and horizontally manage numerous stakeholders.
• Bachelor/Polytechnic University degree.
