The Engineering Experience division is a central unit that works on projects that improve and standardize the Amadeus engineers' experience by proposing tools and processes that they can use in their daily work. The main focus is on enhancing the engineering toolchain, sustainability topics, quality governance, and enablers for future strategies and technologies.

The key areas of responsibility for this division include:

• The development and implementation of tools and processes to improve the engineering experience;

• The promotion of sustainable practices within the engineering team;

• The governance of quality standards and best practices;

• The identification and implementation of enablers for future strategies and empowering cutting-edge tools.

Your Main Responsibilities

Common accountabilities :

• As a senior java developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying features and enhancements for Bird, a product that provides orchestration and REST APIs to interact with software releases.

• You will work with a team of talented and passionate developers, using SAFe agile methodologies and best practices, to deliver high-quality and scalable solutions.

• You will collaborate with other teams and stakeholders across Amadeus, such as Jira, BitBucket, ArgoCD, Jenkins, and more, to integrate Bird with various tools and services.

• You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of the product, the codebase, and the development process.

• You will Influence decisions related to own activity, anticipating dependencies and consequences in complex scenarios, contribute to transversal projects, propose improvements to processes and be accountable for own and team commitments.​

• You will support the customer by debugging existing solutions in collaboration with Product Manager or Product Definition Analyst
   

Specific accountabilities:

• You have at least 5 years of experience in java development, using frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate.

• You have a solid knowledge of web development, using technologies such as Angular, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• You have experience with relational databases, such as PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases, such as Redis and Elasticsearch.

• You have experience with messaging systems, such as RabbitMQ, and workflow engines, such as Flowable.

• You have a good understanding of software engineering principles, such as design patterns, SOLID, TDD, and CI/CD.

• You have excellent communication and collaboration skills, and you are able to work effectively in a distributed and multicultural team.

• You are proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn new technologies and skills.
