Sales Data Analyst

Description

Responsible for financial analysis, sales reporting, sales queries, sales trackers, Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews. Incumbent will work together with Finance and Sales Leadership on all updates, proforma analysis, pricing analysis and territory analysis. Incumbent should be very familiar with querying large datasets and utilizing the latest tools to execute on analyzing data. Incumbent must be level-headed and able to understand the business, owns the data, and can clearly articulate results and insights. 

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: other duties may be assigned as needed.

• Mine data to extract information from data sets.
• Organizing and transforming data into comprehensible structures
• Comfortable owning processes and working independently.
• Enhance reporting outputs and data visualization.
• Responsible for gathering and combing data from multiple sources (SQL and files) related to performance management.
• Assist in development of KPI report production, automation, and validation.
• Create and maintain models in excel and Power Bi as requested.
• Preparing reports and presenting these to management 
• Responsible for sales metrics
• Produce reports related to sales trends, sales product analysis, and targeted product penetration analysis for Sales Leadership.
• Monitoring data quality and removing corrupt data
• Communicating with stakeholders to understand data content and business requirements.
• Process improvement–Anticipates needs of business and proactively creates new tools.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Finance, Accounting or Economics.
• 5-7 years’ experience in an analyst role.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Expert in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of data manipulation between systems, i.e. importing and exporting of data.
• Understanding of using queries and pivot tables. 
• Understands Microsoft Power BI and can learn to model / develop new dashboards.
• Experience with Alteryx helpful.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Computer work for extended periods of time
