Pharmacy Data Analyst
Birdi is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Data Analyst to join our Finance team. In this critical role, you’ll be the bridge between pharmacy operations, finance, and data—ensuring that pharmacy claim data is accurate, actionable, and aligned with financial goals. You’ll conduct audits, design reports, analyze trends, and collaborate across departments to resolve purchasing and inventory data discrepancies.

We're looking for someone with deep expertise in pharmacy adjudication and financial data, who thrives in both independent and collaborative environments and can translate data into meaningful insights.
What You’ll Do
- Analyze pharmacy claims data to identify discrepancies and ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Collaborate with operations to resolve issues related to inventory, purchasing, and reimbursement
- Audit inventory purchases and align reported data with wholesaler invoices
- Provide insight and recommendations to leadership based on purchasing and reimbursement analytics
- Build and maintain critical reporting tools to support accurate month-end financials
- Identify and implement process improvements—automation, optimization, and scalability
- Support ad hoc analysis for pharmacy financials, inventory trends, and compliance needs
- Partner with IT analytics and business development teams to lead or support cross-functional initiatives
- Monitor and interpret industry trends and regulatory changes affecting pharmacy operations
- Uphold data governance and ensure HIPAA compliance and data integrity standards
What You Bring
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong skills in SQL, Python, R, Tableau, or similar tools for analyzing complex datasets
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams
- High attention to detail, with a strong commitment to data accuracy and compliance
- Proven track record of problem-solving and delivering insights that drive decisions
- Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with pharmacy inventory systems and purchasing data
- Understanding of secondary billing, including prescription discount cards and Medicaid
- Experience working with pharmacy management systems
What Education Is Needed
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Pharmacy, Healthcare Management, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in a data analyst or similar role with a focus on pharmacy or healthcare data
- In-depth knowledge of pharmacy adjudication, claim data, and pharmacy financials
