Here at Lakeside Foods, our field maintenance team is the backbone of our field operations, ensuring equipment runs optimally during our harvesting season. Field maintenance mechanics/technicians are respected team members, performing preventative maintenance, adjustments and repairs on our harvesting equipment such as pea harvesters and sweet corn pickers. If you are a creative problem-solver who likes to work outdoors during the summer months and indoors in the winter months, we want to talk with you.

 What You’ll Do:

  • During harvest season (June - October)
    • Responsible for the efficient operation of the pea harvesters, sweet corn pickers, and any other equipment used in our planting and harvesting operations.
    • Serve as a crew leader/mechanic for field operations. Supervise and train other field employees in the safe, proper and efficient operation of field equipment.
  • During Off Season (November – May):
    • Overhaul and repair of machinery and vehicles used in field operations. 

 

 What You’ll Bring:

  • Prior experience with preventative maintenance procedures, machine adjustments, diesel engine repairs, and harvesting procedures.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Positive attitude
  • Strong work ethic
  • Safety mindset
