Retail Operation Specialist - Driver

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the receipt, movement, storage, and stocking of materials to meet operational needs and production goals in a large warehouse facility and/or outlet store.  Must be able to operate equipment from donation door, dock, warehouse, or storage yard, such as a forklift, compactor, bale machine, tipper, stacker, and pallet jack.  This position also provides transportation service to our retail store locations by transporting donated material and supplies to and from stores. 

Provide world class customer service to be both internal and external customers.  This position requires Goodwill SWPA/NCWV forklift certification and CDL A drivers license.  The retail operations specialist / driver also provides support to the retail operation center management team. 

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

• Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, and/or delivery vehicles by hand or using assigned equipment, ensuring proper sorting and storage by category.
• Operate equipment used to prepare materials for salvage, sale, recycling, or disposal.
• Ensure proper storage of items to be processed or shipped off premises.
• Inspect trucks prior to beginning routes to ensure safe operating condition. 
• Complete daily log and other paperwork as required.
• Communicate with supervisor or dispatcher concerning delays, unsafe sites or road conditions, accidents, equipment breakdowns, or other maintenance problems. 
• Maintain current DOT medical certification and driver license.

External Hiring Range: $19.00 - $21 an hour

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (M.V.R.) required.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (C.D.L.) Class A required.

REQUIRED CLEARANCES, LICENSES, AND CERTIFICATIONS:

• Current Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) Medical Certification is required.
• Must pass pre-employment Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) drug and alcohol test.
