Senior, Software Engineer

Position Summary...

Looking for strong and motivated Backend Senior Engineer to work on Walmart conversational platform, building features to support user-user and user-bot chat. Candidate has an opportunity to work on latest technologies and LLM agents to enable chat features for various applications inside Walmart and Sam's club.



About Team:
Our team creates reusable technologies to help with customer acquisition, onboarding, and empowering merchants, while ensuring a seamless experience for both of these stakeholders. We also optimize tariffs and assortment in accordance with Walmart's Everyday Low Cost philosophy. We not only create affordability, but we also deliver customized experiences for customers across all channels - in-store, mobile app, and websites.

What you'll do...

 

• Candidate works directly with customer teams to understand scope of requirements, determine development effort and timelines, develop for and rollout changes to production and maintain the feature
• Candidate is aware of latest technological advancements and are apply them to our flows to modernize our platform solution
• Candidate is willing to discuss various solutions to solve a problem and seek inputs to build a robust platform change

What you'll bring:

• Candidate has expertise in Java, jUnit, Kafka, Redis, N/W communication protocols
• Candidate has expertise supporting mobile, web, and API based applications
• Candidate has exhibited strong Engineering Excellence writing high quality code
• Candidate is excellent at communication and share their thoughts
