The Position:
The Outbound Routing/Shipping Coordinator, reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, is responsible for managing the entire outbound logistics process including; scheduling carrier pickups, coordinating shipment details, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods to customers, monitoring shipping KPIs, and resolving any issues that may arise with carriers or deliveries
This position works Monday through Friday, from 7:00am- 3:30pm.
The compensation for this position is $21.50/hour.
Your Day-to-Day:
• Serve as a main point of contact for all outbound shipments, while working closely with warehouse staff, customer service representatives both internal and external, and transportation providers.
• Check in/out all drivers; informs drivers of assigned door and explain dock safety procedures.
• Accurately process outbound paperwork in a timely manner. Including but not limited to, confirming the accuracy of data entry, reconciling the system, output to the customer’s documents, and ensuring that all special requests are appropriately addressed and followed through.
• Follow order fulfillment to the end (in warehouse and with customer) to ensure a successful and timely conclusion.
• Review and implement customer compliance guides for on-time performance including routing orders in customer portal and scheduling carriers
• Monitor all inbound and outbound shipments to ensure they are received and/or loaded out and in a timely fashion.
• Ensure all inbounds/outbounds are recorded in the Shipping/Receiving Log.
• Work with the warehouse management system and Client ERP system or other applicable software to check order compliance, order completion, print BOL’s etc.
• Ensure all required documentation and system transactions (electronically and/or manually) are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintains up to date knowledge of key industry practices, such as shipment type and terms, BOL creation, and routing in web-based customer portals
• Review and identify any discrepancies on records or reports.
• Review and update Work Instruction on a regular basis.
• Write and complete accurate business correspondence to Client Customer Service Representatives, customers and team.
• Maintain an ongoing level of engagement with key customers; build trusting relationships with customers and be a Trusted Advisor.
• Maintain constant communication between the operations team, Client Customer Service Representatives and the customer, addressing any concerns in a timely fashion.
• Provide Operations leadership an end of day wrap-up communication containing pertinent information regarding any issues relating to open orders.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
What You Bring to the Table:
• High school diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• Minimum of one (1)-three (3) years of practical work in a warehouse, receiving, or dispatch environment.
• Receiving and shipping experience preferred.
• Proficient in all Microsoft business applications such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
