Description:

The Project Manager is responsible for managing, supervising and coordinating construction and capital improvement projects for various divisions. The ideal candidate provides exemplary customer service to internal customers and coordinates with contractors, consultants and other outside agencies to gather critical data, conduct negotiations, and administer contracts. Projects include renovations, additions, deferred maintenance programs, new construction, and other capital improvement projects.    

   

This person must be innovative, detail oriented, and construction-minded with strong project controls skills, such as cost estimating, preparing and tracking budgets and scheduling. The candidate must also have proven ability to move between diverse tasks with ease, and must thrive in a fast-paced, professional environment.   

   

Schedule:  

This position has the flexibility to operate on either our four-day workweek (Monday-Thursday) or five-day workweek, with remote and in-office work as needed.     

  

Compensation: 

Target Hiring Salary: $81,822 - $106,369 USD Annual   

Compensation will be determined based on education, experience and skills.

Essential Duties:   

  • Experience in project management and construction administration for commercial/institutional or multi-family residential construction. Monitor construction projects for quality, budget, personnel, progress and schedule. Ensure adherence and compliance to plans and specifications. Participate in weekly meetings with the contractor and architect/engineer. Review submittals for material selection, review change order requests, or requests for information and recommend actions.   

  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to effectively manage and lead people, projects, budgets, and schedules, while communicating with clients, consultants, contractors and county management.
