About the role
To ensure the continuous availability of component parts and materials received from suppliers and the continuous availability of high quality TRMI products for deliver to customers through the accurate forecasting of customer requirements and the derivative input requirements and monitoring of material flows. Ensure accuracy levels of TRMI inventories at all locations.
TRMI was founded in 1986 and currently employs 650+ at our Battle Creek location. We manufacture automotive switch related components such as: window regulators, cruise control, turn signals, multi-function and HVAC switches.

Duties
- Process, communicate and close out shipment shortages.
- Maintain the Shortage Dashboard, call respective manufacturing areas with shortages.
- Work directly with truck drivers to ensure shipments are met and issues are resolved in a calm and productive manner.
- Fill in as needed to stage, load or pick FG product to ensure shipments are made including but not limited to supplements and expedites or absenteeism.
- Work directly with manufacturing, stagers, loaders and PCS to ensure concerns are resolved and shipments are not negatively impacted.
- Monitor and support tote cleaning process.
- Ensure tote cleaning area is staffed in order to support production lines.
- Escalate all issues within expected standards to the Team Leader or Section Manager to ensure no breakdowns in communication.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge
- Experience in warehouse operations, customer service and/or production scheduling.
- Familiarity with material control processes and procedures.
- Working knowledge of TRMI policies, procedures and practices.
- Computer literacy, including familiarity with word-processing and spreadsheet application software.
- Good interpersonal and human relation skills.
- Good oral and written communications skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload.
- Good attendance.
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and minimum of one year of manufacturing experience production control experience.
