About the Role:

  • Technical Product Operations applies human intelligence to some of the toughest problems at Cruise. We work closely with cross-functional teams across Engineering, Product Management, and Business to create and iterate on products that move our business forward. We have a large, globally distributed workforce and are integral to Cruise’s technology development.
  • We are looking for a Senior Product Operations Manager on the Ground Truth Operations team that accelerates the impact of our ops-dependent products and advances our AV technology. This role will build a holistic view of the challenges and opportunities across our global operations and product suite, develop and drive technical product and operational solutions, and build organizational excellence in data driven experimentation and rapid iteration.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Gather requirements and create roadmaps for execution of all data projects in the Technical Product Operations Org
  • Define metrics to track the health of the business and drive alignment among cross-functional stakeholders - Engineering, Product, and Operations
  • Build dashboards to measure and track the metrics in a scalable way
  • Identify data gaps and work with engineering teams to instrument the right events
  • Identify opportunities to improve metrics and work with operations teams to implement scalable solutions
  • Develop data pipelines for large-scale data analyses on operations data
  • Perform analysis and conduct forensic investigation on vendor workforce behavior and operational spend
  • Lead and communicate data analyses that help Technical Product Operations teams to help make decisions and continuously improve operations
  • Develop statistical models to predict/forecast key operational parameters
  • Design experiments with other Product Operations Managers in the Organization to understand workforce and workflow behavior and find optimization opportunities

What you must have:

  • 4+ years in tech, business / product operations, or consulting-related field(s)
  • Track record of using analytical thinking to pose data-driven questions and produce insightful analyses from them
  • Expertise in SQL
  • Working knowledge of R or Python
  • Ability to handle large-scale datasets
  • Comfortable working with BigQuery or other big-data platforms
  • Proficiency in project management and execution in new, ambiguous, or time-constrained environments
  • Experience building dashboards in Looker, Tableau, or other business intelligence software

Bonus points!

  • Masters in Business/Computer science/mathematics/statistics is a plus
  • Proven work experience with Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) is a plus

The salary range for this position is $115,600 - 170,000. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
