Billing Specialist / Accounting Technician

Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid working)

As the Accounting Technician, a part of Global Business Services (GBS) Finance Operations, you will work with a team of financial analysts providing billing services for company codes within Rolls-Royce, by completing billing request and reconciliations.

In this exciting opportunity, you will be part of the Billing Department operations area that along with the Financial Accounting and Reporting (FA&R) department, Accounts Payable (AP) department & Payroll department operate as a part of the North American Finance Service Centre (NAFSC) which provides  finance support for and on behalf of Rolls-Royce Finance and the wider business.

 Key Accountabilities:

• Creates invoices and credit memos from business requests and interacts with requestors to ensure proper processing; distribute invoices to customer portals to ensure on time payment of billings
• Acts as the key point of contact for billing inquiries/disputes
• Creates and documents process improvements regarding billing procedures
• Acts as a process back up for billing specialist
• Assists the Manager and teammates with various projects as needed
• Generate monthly billing reports
• Act as a liaison between Billing and Credit and Collections

Basic Requirements:

• Associate degree with 2+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance or Business, OR
• Bachelor’s degree, OR
• Master’s degree, OR
• JD/PhD, OR
• 4+ years of Accounting or Finance in lieu of a degree
• In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Requirements:

• SAP experience
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel)
