Airfield Project Manager/Civil Engineer

RS&H is currently seeking to hire a Project Manager/Civil Engineer to join our Aviation Practice in Tampa, FL!

We are looking for a Project Manager / Civil Engineer with planning & design, business development, and aviation experience to help with our growing Tampa, FL office. This position will be responsible for working with and managing projects for our local clients, including Hillsborough County Aviation Authority as well as large scale aviation projects across the county. Project Manager / Senior Civil Engineer Related tasks include:

• Design of runways, taxiways, and aprons
• Stormwater and utility infrastructure design
• Pavement design and assessment
• Aircraft parking layout and passenger boarding bridge modeling
• Coordination with airports, airlines, FAA and project stakeholders
• Construction management and inspection 
• Experience leading or working with large multi-disciplined teams
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and overall quality control and management
• Conscientious of project schedules and deadlines and budgets
• Communicate directly with clients, helping to foster and maintain client relationships.
• Support leadership of the Tampa Aviation team, including client management; lead, develop, and deliver projects, financial performance and revenue growth; and associate mentorship and growth.
• Design a complete project, system, component, or process. Prepare project plans, specifications, and reports.
• Analyze and interpret data. Perform analyses of design, planning, and impact studies, as well as cost analyses, design requirements, site selection, and design layouts.
• Apply advanced knowledge and expertise to resolve complex issues and/or unique challenges.
• Responsible for project performance and execution, including oversight of Design Teams through mentorship and project leadership.

 

The successful Project Manager / Civil Engineer applicant will work locally at RS&H’s Tampa office to perform design and project management activities in support of aviation civil engineering projects. 

 

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited ABET university
• Minimum of 6 years of experience, with at least two years of aviation design experience
• Professional Engineer license required or ability to obtain within 6 months
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil3D, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required for use in completing an assignment
• Effective team-focused associates that will foster teamwork, help set priorities, and provide direction to production associates
• Strong record of leading design teams
• Good organization and motivation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to travel across the region to existing/potential Airport Clients
• Must have a Valid Driver's License with a good driving record
