Position Summary
The Clinical Outcomes & Data Abstractor is responsible for the accurate collection, abstraction, analysis, and submission of clinical and quality data to support regulatory reporting, registry participation, and organizational performance improvement initiatives. This role ensures data integrity, identifies opportunities for clinical quality improvement, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support data-driven decision-making and patient safety efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Abstract, collect, validate, and submit clinical data from medical records in accordance with established definitions and protocols
Ensure timely and accurate data submission to internal databases and external registries
Monitor data integrity and meet audit requirements
Analyze data to identify trends, benchmark variances, and opportunities for improvement
Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to support data-driven decision making
Participate in clinical and quality meetings
Maintain knowledge of evolving regulatory standards and reporting requirements
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
Support quality initiatives and process improvement efforts
Work with vendors and registry support teams
Perform other duties as assigned
