Here are the key responsibilities and qualifications typically associated with this role:
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead project planning, scheduling, and execution, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Technical Oversight: Supervise the engineering team in the design and analysis of aerospace systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain, to facilitate project success.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address technical and project-related challenges.
- Documentation: Ensure thorough documentation of project specifications, design changes, and compliance reports.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in engine design, turbofan or fan module design, engine module lead, and aircraft integration or aircraft/propulsion engine certification and testing
- Strong Program Management skills and experience with EVMS, Cost Account Management, Jira/Agile tools, and Requirements-based Systems Engineering
- Experience working with aircraft OEMs and other key stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and lead teams effectively
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field
- PMP Certification
