Aerospace Application Engineer

Salary: $80,000 - 102,000/yearWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Application/Process Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an integral member of our engineering department, you will play a key role in developing and optimizing manufacturing processes for our aerospace products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of new technologies and improvements to existing processes.

Responsibilities

• Process Development: Lead the development and optimization of manufacturing processes for aerospace components, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and quality.
• Application Engineering: Collaborate with customers to understand their specific requirements and provide technical expertise in the application of our products.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction through innovation and implementation of best practices.
• Project Management: Manage projects from concept to completion, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and execution.
• Quality Assurance: Work closely with quality control and assurance teams to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Technical Support: Provide technical support to production teams, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to ensure smooth operations.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of processes, procedures, and project specifications in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and supply chain, to achieve project goals and deliver exceptional results.
• Research and Development: Stay updated on the latest advancements in aerospace manufacturing technologies and materials to drive innovation and maintain competitive advantage.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven experience in aerospace manufacturing or related industry, with a focus on process engineering and optimization.
• Strong understanding of machining, fabrication, and assembly processes used in aerospace manufacturing.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and other engineering tools for process design and simulation.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budget.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, such as AS9100, ISO 9001, and NADCAP, preferred.
