In this exciting role, you’ll help design and develop innovative system architecture for engine control systems. Working alongside a talented team, you’ll define and manage system components using physics-based models, ensuring designs meet customer needs. You’ll also create functional schematics, layouts, and component details, and support design tests while analyzing results. What You Will Do:
Collaborate in a team environment to design functional system architecture, defining major components and subsystems using physics-based models.
Develop detailed functional schematics, concept layouts, sketches, and preliminary component details.
Develop, manage, and communicate system requirements to the integrated product team.
Investigate design factors and conduct trade studies to identify optimal solutions to meet both internal and external customer requirements.
Support testing for systems, subsystems, and components.
Support design verification and certification tests, post-process and analyze test results in relation to design specifications and objectives.
What You Will Learn:
How to develop, manage, and communicate system requirements for engine system components.
How to perform system analysis on pumps, valves, and actuators using code-based modeling tools.
How a design progresses through the development process from initial concept to fielded hardware.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Coding (MATLAB, Modelica, Python, or similar) experience.
Strong communication skills.
