BN is a proud provider of MK21 and MK19 air turbine pumps (ATP) for the US Navy. These critical submarine assemblies generate the high pressure required to launch a torpedo out of Virginia and Ohio Class Submarines. BN is responsible for buying, manufacturing, overseeing subcontractors, assembling, and testing parts for these submarine critical assemblies. Detailed material history and documentation are contractually required to ensure the safe operation of these for critical assemblies.


This role is a full time 3-month opportunity starting June 8th. 


Position Summary:

The Program Management Intern will be responsible for helping the ATP team collect, compile, and organize detailed records into deliverable build books and records for long-term storage for the programs. This requires attention to detail and organization skills. Accurate and organized record keeping is foundational to these programs and what our customers highly value. Initiative, ability to learn quickly and problem solving are additional capabilities that will be essential for success in this role. In addition, this role will support and play a key role in developing an improved process for accurately collecting, compiling and organizing data for submittal and easily accessible long-term storage.


Key Results Areas:

1. Collecting, compiling, organizing, and preparing build book / data pack deliverable required for MK21 ATP deliveries.

2. Troubleshooting and addressing issues with records, documentation, and entries.

3. Other duties in the ATP area of the BN business as assigned by the Program Management team.

Requirements

Requirements/Qualifications:


Education and Training:

· Sophomore or higher student actively pursuing a bachelor's degree


Desired Experience/Skills:

· Initiative and the ability to work tasks assigned independently

· Ability to learn quickly

· Detail-oriented approach

· Experience using MS suite, especially Microsoft Excel and Windows

· Enjoys working on a team


ITAR Requirements: To conform to U.S. Government commercial space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3), applicants for employment at Barber-Nichols must be a U.S. citizen or national, lawfully admitted for permanent residence into the U.S. (i.e., current green card holder), or lawfully admitted as a refugee or granted asylum under 8 U.S.C. § 1157-1158. Compensation and Benefits:

The hourly range for this role is $20-24/hr. This range represent the anticipated minimum and maximum base + bonus for this position based upon a good faith and reasonable estimate. The final compensation for this position will be set based on the applicant’s qualifications (education, training and/or experience related to this role), and therefore, may fall outside the range shown, depending on the circumstances.
