Job Description

 

Applicants must be able to type accurately at 35 WPM; perform general clerical work and typing in connection with preparation of various correspondence, files, documents, etc.  Applicant will assemble, pack, and ship materials as well as receive trucks, stock inventory and issue materials to employees and other locations.  Will secure, prepare, and handle proper documentation for entry into perpetual inventory control system.  Position requires bending, stooping, climbing, and lifting as well as operating forklifts and cranes.  Must maintain a safe, clean, and organized workplace. 

 

•Attention to detail and ability to work independently

•Strong verbal and written communication skills

•Ability to multi-task and adjust priorities

•Valid driver’s license

•Operate forklift and crane

•Capable of lifting 50+ lbs

•Inputting information into computers, e-mail correspondence, research material needs and usage

•Perform monthly cycle counts as well as annual inventory

•Requires outdoor work in all weather conditions

•Ability to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays Job/shift preference is determined by union agreement and seniority.

 

Wage, benefits, and other duties are governed by the collective bargaining union agreement. Union Membership is required with mandatory associated membership dues. New hires will typically join the union within 60 calendar days of the first day of service.

Eligibility for health benefits begin on the first day of the calendar month that follows employment. Spouse and dependents may be eligible for coverage.

Opportunity to qualify for holiday pay on up to 11 holidays specified by the agreement in any year. After 1 year, opportunity to qualify for paid sick leave and paid vacation (based on years of qualified service). Additionally, opportunity to qualify for vacation after 1 year of service.
