Principal Software Engineer, Platform Experience

Overview

Position Overview:  

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Software Engineer to join our dynamic Platform Experience team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of complex software solutions with a strong focus on user interface (UI) development. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to create intuitive and user-friendly applications that meet the needs of healthcare professionals and patients. 

 

Your impact: 

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of high-quality software solutions with a focus on UI development. 

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and experience. 

• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. 

• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence. 

• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices. 

• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge. 

• Drive the adoption of best practices in software engineering, including agile methodologies, test-driven development, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD). 

 

What you bring: 

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 

• 10+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on UI development. 

• Proven experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams. 

• Expertise in modern front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js. 

• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices. 

• Experience with backend technologies and microservices architecture is a plus. 

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively. 

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. 

 

Bonus Points: 

• Experience in the healthcare industry or with healthcare-related software solutions. 

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards in healthcare software development. 

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
