Internship Overview

Powell’s 10-week paid internship program offers college students hands-on experience, professional training, and the opportunity to make an impact through a meaningful project aligned with your field of study. As a Sales Intern, you’ll focus on designing and optimizing indicators for high-speed mechanisms, gaining valuable skills in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Project Focus

    1. Intern Project:  

    2. Eliminate a current manual opportunity tracking process by automating it within our existing tool. develop  

    1. Expected Deliverables:  

  • A dashboard leveraging our sales tracking software (Dynamics/Sigma) to provide visibility on contributing service tasks on non-service owned parent opportunities allowing sales management to provide accurate forecasting on opportunities.  

    1. How does this project benefit Powell or your functional area?  

  • Eliminates a manual task that is currently impacts the workload of the sales team. This would also help ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the information communicated in forecast meetings.  

    1. Desired Major: Industrial Distribution with a strong data and analytics focus.

Who We’re Looking For

  • We seek motivated, curious, and driven students with the following qualifications:
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Distribution from an accredited institution.
  • Rising Junior or Senior continuing studies in Fall 2027.<
