Job Description

As a Security Professional - Armed Screening Specialist in New Port Richey, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener in a government location, you will play a vital role in helping to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. Your presence and attention to detail will contribute to a secure environment, while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication to everyone you encounter. What You'll Do:

• Conduct screening of individuals entering the location to help to deter prohibited items and unauthorized access.
• Follow site-specific security-related procedures and policies as directed by Allied Universal and the client.
• Provide excellent customer service while interacting with visitors, employees, and/or contractors at entry points.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of screening activities and any incidents that occur during the shift.
• Remain alert and attentive at all times while performing screening duties at the assigned location.
• Communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and/or client representatives regarding any unusual activity or incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
