Job Description

AECOM is seeking an Environmental Technician II.  This position requires candidates to work in the Beaumont, TX area.

Responsibilities of this position includes but is not limited to:

  • Performs a variety of tasks in support of project staff. 

  • May gather and maintain specified records of scientific data for supervisor, including but not limited to environmental sampling, operations and maintenance and inspections at client sites.

  • Other activities may include assisting with calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining proper project documentation. 

  • Collects and enters data and applies technical principles and theories under supervision.

  • Must be able to work independently.

  • May occasionally interface with clients.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school plus 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. 
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s license required as travel is required for the role.

  • Physically able to handle changing out 80 pound gas cylinders.
  • Will need a TWIC card and be able to participate in background checks and drug testing pools as required by each of our client facilities in the area.

  • Pre-employment drug screen will be required for this role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Gas Chromatography.

  • Experience maintaining and repairing electronic measurement devices.

  • Computer skills with software installation and basic troubleshooting.

Additional Information

  • Due to the nature of this role, U.S Citizenship is required.
  • Offered rate of compensation (Texas locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.  The hourly range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
