The Position
Genentech, Inc. seeks a Senior Data Scientist Product Leader at its South San Francisco, CA location.
Duties: Lead the development of Cancer immunotherapy and Ophthalmology data mart assets, interact with the use-case team to assess requirements for analysis dataset creation, and serve as the data engineer expert for analysis dataset in their use-case as an individual contributor. Build strong partnerships and collaborate with various stakeholders across the Roche global organization to support programs, processes, systems, and compliance. Develop and design training programs, courses, and workshops related to AI and data science. Lead the development and quality control of pooled analysis datasets, ensuring consistency with Roche Data Standards. Work closely with the curator to guide Study Data Tabulation Model (SDTM) delivery based on analysis data requirements. Develop software and R package to support the pooling of clinical trial data and analyze business processes to develop, test, and validate standard software solutions. Develop programming strategy to map Retinal Optical Coherence Tomography Segmentation AI Algorithms output to analysis-ready dataset to enable new analysis opportunities. Lead analytical data science initiatives for Oncology Early Phase clinical trials, develop and maintain ADaM specifications ensuring consistency with Roche Data Standards where possible, with the ability to deal with the ambiguity of data usage beyond the regulatory environment. Develop and generate tables, listings, and graphs as per the statistical analysis plan. May telecommute up to 2 days per week.
Education and experience required: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Statistics or Biostatistics or related field

Statistical practice and study design
SAS
Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium standard
Clinical trial data e-submission package
Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices (GCPs)
R and R Package development
The expected annual salary range for this position based on the primary location for this position of California is $162,576 to $218,400 per year. Actual pay within the range will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
