Discover how you can make a difference in the lives of individuals, families and communities around the world.</span></p><p></p><p></p><p><b>Job Description:</b></p><p><b>Business Continuity Specialist</b></p><p></p><p><b>Role Summary: </b></p><p>The <b>Senior</b> <b>Business Continuity Consultant </b>is responsible for managing the Business Continuity Management, Crisis Management and Disaster Recovery (BCM) program across SUN LIFE U.S., ensuring that SUN LIFE U.S. is compliant with the BCM policy.</p><p>This work safeguards that SUN LIFE U.S. can continue to fulfil its service commitments to clients, shareholders and employees in the event of a business disruption due to the loss of a SLF facility and/or the loss of technology and/or the loss of a significant number of staff and/or loss of a critical third party.</p><p></p><p><b>Main Accountabilities </b></p><p>The Senior Consultant will provide overall guidance, support and coordination for all elements required in the BCM Policy and supporting governing documents, including:</p><ul><li>BCM Risk Assessment</li><li>BIA (Business Impact Analysis)</li><li>Business Continuity, Crisis Management, and Disaster Recovery Plans</li><li>Tabletop Walk-Through</li><li>Work from Home Testing and Exercising</li><li>Alternate Site Testing and Exercising</li><li>External Service Provider Reviews</li><li>Call Tree Tests</li></ul><p></p><p><b>The Senior Consultant will also be accountable for supporting the following activities as they relate to each of the respective program elements:</b></p><ul><li>Establish self as Business Continuity Management expert and 'enabler' to facilitate program development within and across SUN LIFE U.S. business units.</li><li>Ensuring that all areas maintain comprehensive BC plans outlining how to recover their business processes.</li><li>Collaborating with Enterprise Continuity as the policy owners to make continuous improvements to the program.</li><li>Facilitating or coordinating the BCM testing in SUN LIFE U.S.; for example, BC plan walk-throughs, Alternate Sites exercises.</li><li>Creating and executing a plan for completing the annual cycle of BC activities within the BU as outlined in the SLF BCM policy.</li><li>Ongoing reporting on the status of the BCM program work in SUN LIFE U.S.</li><li>Supporting the activities of the SUN LIFE U.S. Leadership Team in a crisis event, which includes working with senior management and with the support teams responsible communications. Note that this work may extend beyond normal working hours.</li><li>Being the initial contact for all BC questions from any areas in SUN LIFE U.S.</li><li>Finding and pursuing for opportunities to increase the awareness of the BCM program for all staff within SUN LIFE U.S.</li><li>Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.</li><li>Coordinate regular disaster recovery testing and drills.</li><li>Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to disaster recovery.</li><li>Train staff on disaster recovery procedures and protocols.</li><li>Coordinate with IT, operations, and other departments on recovery strategies</li><li>Document disaster recovery processes and maintain up-to-date documentation.</li><li>Participate in post-incident reviews and implement lessons learned.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>The Senior Consultant would focus on ensuring the company can quickly resume critical financial operations and protect sensitive data in the event of various disasters or disruptions.</b></p><p></p><p><u><span><b>Here's a quick look at why working for Sun Life Ireland is so rewarding:</b></span></u></p><p><span>Diversity and inclusion have always been at the core of our values at Sun Life.
