The role also manages office work-study staff and front-desk operations in the Registrar’s Office, serving as a key point of contact for students, faculty, and staff.

Responsibilities
- Process course registrations, bio-demographic updates, enrollment verifications, loan deferments, and transcript requests in compliance with FERPA and university policies.
- Oversee the intake, scanning, and maintenance of student records within the document management system (DocStar/Hyland).
- Research and resolve complex records and enrollment issues in collaboration with Assistant and Associate Registrars.
- Maintain Standard Operating Procedures and a yearly production calendar to ensure consistent and accurate processing.
- Serve as the primary contact for front-desk operations and manage the Registrar@une.edu inbox, including triaging inquiries.
- Coordinate meetings, special projects, departmental events, and university initiatives, providing administrative and logistical support. Manage office supplies, equipment, and transcript-related materials, including ordering and budget tracking.
- Generate and maintain reports to support enrollment monitoring, compliance, and decision-making, and represent the Registrar’s Office on committees as assigned.
- Hire, train, schedule, and supervise work-study students, while providing guidance, cross-training, and quality oversight for staff and document processes.
- Interpret and apply policies to ensure compliance with FERPA and institutional regulations, identify process improvements, and support planning initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred. Three to five years of administrative experience, preferably in a university registrar’s office or similar setting. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
- Experience with student information systems (e.g., Banner, Colleague, Jenzabar, PeopleSoft, Workday) preferred.
- Familiarity with reporting tools (e.g., Access, Cognos) and AI communication tools or chatbots preferred.
- Knowledge of student records policies, procedures, and FERPA regulations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Sound judgment and ability to interpret and apply policies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships and provide excellent service to a diverse community.
