Senior Accountant for General Ledger & Fixed Assets (m/f/d)

We are the world market leader for reusable packaging containers (RPCs) for fresh food and are constantly optimizing our products.

We help make the food supply cycle for the population more sustainable. With our RPCs, safety for food transport is improved, there is less waste of food and at the same time the lifespan of the products increases. Key responsibilities:

• Journal Entries & Recurring Postings: Ensure accurate and timely postings, including accruals and provisions. 
• Month-End Closing: Oversee accounts clearing, intercompany reconciliation, reclassifications, and fixed asset processes. 
• Fixed Assets Management: Maintain accuracy and completeness of Fixed Asset Master Data and Asset under Construction. 
• Financial Reporting: Prepare ad hoc and recurring reports, including statistical and annual reporting packages. 
• Bank Reconciliation & Intercompany Netting: Manage reconciliations and ensure smooth intercompany transactions. 
• Process Optimization: Enhance and document financial processes for efficiency and compliance. 
• Knowledge Sharing: Support onboarding of new employees and promote continuous learning. 

We expect:

• Accounting Expertise: Several years in general ledger, fixed assets, accruals, and provisions in an international environment. 
• Educational Background: Degree in Business Administration or equivalent accounting qualification. 
• Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of general ledger, fixed assets accounting, and VAT regulations. 
• Technical Proficiency: At least one year of experience with SAP FI; advanced MS Outlook & Excel skills. 
• Project Experience: Previous involvement in accounting projects. 
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, proactive mindset, high accuracy, and cultural awareness. 
• Flexibility: Willingness to travel during onboarding/transition if required. 
• Language skills: Fluent in business English, additional European Language knowledge like Spanish, Portuguese, French or German.
