Compensation: $24.50 - $25.50 per hour
Summary/Objective:
The Specialist, Membership, Impact and Industry will be responsible for all administrative tasks to support the day-to-day operations of the Academy’s Membership Affinity Group program as well as various branch executive committee meetings.
We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, proactive, passionate, and efficient individual who can anticipate needs, work cooperatively, and act with discretion. They will need to work closely with different departments across the Academy as well as liaise professionally with industry and community partners.
The role also requires experience with CRM and Airtable for data management, strong communication and people skills, excellent organization and time management, and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Manage various Affinity Group and branch inboxes to ensure that all inquiries are responded to in a timely and accurate manner.
- Compile, document and organize all necessary awards submission and new membership materials to support branch executive committee meetings.
- Track membership opt-ins for Affinity Groups and build lists for email distribution by group.
- Organize event calendar and handle RSVPs for all necessary virtual and in-person meetings.
- Document member engagement across all branch and Affinity Group initiatives to measure growth against quarterly goals.
- Research key trends across global film industry to identify growth areas for member engagement and outreach.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Required Competencies:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- 1-3 years of professional experience in the entertainment industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar)
- Experience with Airtable or similar relational database
- Ability to work discreetly and professionally with high-level executives, talent, Board of Governors, Academy members, and the public
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive member information with discretion
- Self-motivated with ability to coordinate projects, deadlines, and priorities independently and collaboratively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends
- Ability to commute to 8949 Wilshire, Los Angeles for on-site days
