The Assembler Coordinator assists the supervisor in meeting production goals by performing a variety of semi-skilled manual duties, requiring knowledge of techniques, tools, equipment, and safety precautions. The role involves exercising independent judgment and ensuring work is performed at a quality level consistent with Wabash’s standard practice.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Below are examples of the type of duties you could be responsible for:
- Primary duty is to assist supervisor to meet production goals as outlined by the supervisor.
- Leading a team of hourly employees.
- To perform a variety of semi-skilled manual duties requiring knowledge of techniques, tools, equipment and safety precautions.
- To adhere to and enforce the general safety plan.
- May be required to do other duties as requested by supervisor.
- Primary job functions require exercising independent judgement.
- Ensures work is performed at a quality level consistent with Wabash’s standard practice.
- Good attendance is critical, and coordinator is required to report all absences directly to supervisor.
- Must be willing and able to work overtime.

Qualifications:
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Basic reading /writing/ & verbal skills
- High School degree or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred for this position.
- Good people skills required.
- Must have ability to learn and run required computer applications.
- Possess required math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Must have ability to understand and apply engineering specifications, change orders, and standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Good problem-solving skills required.
- Good computer and Microsoft office skills.
- Willing to become proficient in SAP.
Knowledge, Training, Skills and/or Experience:
Assembler Coordinator experience and education are great to come into this position with. However, it’s not required, here at Wabash, we give you the training to become comfortable in any Assembler Coordinator position. Upon receiving an offer letter from us, you’ll undergo orientation and several days of training, preparing you for the production floor.
