POSITION SPECIFICS

The College of Liberal Arts, department of History at The Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA, USA, invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position, at the rank of Assistant Professor.  

 

This position will include resident and online instruction and normal university service. Your teaching load during the academic year is four courses. Onsite teaching is an essential function of this job. 

 

A Ph.D. in History or related field is required by the appointment date for all Ranks. 

 

Candidates for Assistant Professor of History must have demonstrated ability as a researcher, scholar, and teacher in a relevant field, and have evidence of growth in scholarly achievement. Duties will involve a combination of teaching, research, and service, based on the candidate’s qualifications.
