Our work depends on a ServiceNow Developer joining our team to analyze design, develop, implement, and support code for our government customer, the United States Postal Service.

   

HOW A SERVICENOW DEVELOPER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

• Act as a developer and subject matter expert across all aspects of the ServiceNow platform for USPS Enterprise Technology Services
• Designing, developing, and customizing ServiceNow applications.
• Collaborating with the business users to understand their requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
• Providing technical support and troubleshooting issues related to ServiceNow
• Keeping up to date with the latest ServiceNow trends and technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow development best practices.
• Experience with ServiceNow scripting, workflows, and configurations.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline; OR the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

Required Experience:

• 5+ years of related professional work experience
• 5+ years of development experience with ServiceNow platform including Java

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Proficient in the following qualifications:
  • Experience with ServiceNow development with knowledge of code best practices
  • Knowledge/experience with functional and technical knowledge of ServiceNow platform and architecture
  • Knowledge/experience of SDLC practices
  • Knowledge/experience with Agile Methodologies
  • Change Management and Configuration Management (VersionOne, ServiceNow, etc.)
  • MS Office Suite

Security Clearance Level:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting
• This position has a U.S. residency requirement. The USPS security clearance process requires the selected candidate to have resided in the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for the last five years as follows: U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 6 months consecutively in the last 3 years (unless they meet certain exceptions). Non-U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 90 days consecutively in the last 3 years.
