Your Responsibilities

 

As a Senior Financial Analyst, New Products for John Deere Small Ag & Turf located in Cary, NC you will have the following responsibilities:

 

  • Collaborate with product family & portfolio teams on early business case development and strategic projects
  • Provide financial counsel and leadership-quality presentations to portfolio & business councils and the business unit leadership teams
  • Prepare insightful financial analyses for ad-hoc projects or requests supporting R&D and the enterprise product delivery process
  • Perform financial analysis including preparation of AFEs for new product programs
  • Provide support & work direction

What Skills You Need

 

  • 5 or more years of experience with financial analysis, including financial modeling and the discounted cash flow process
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and influence stakeholders (within and outside of Finance) and at various levels of the organization
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and presentation preparation skills
  • Demonstrated initiative and confidence in the ability to problem solve with minimal supervision
  • Intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn more about the products, customers, and markets
  • Flexibility to adjust priorities to accommodate the most critical objectives and act confidently in challenging situations
  • Demonstrated capability to understand details, evaluate data, and provide insight/counsel to others
  • Ability to travel on a limited basis, as needed

What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • Financial modeling experience for a manufacturing, financial, or technology company
  • Experience with cost accounting and product cost structure/BOM
  • Experience in a manufacturing or engineering unit
  • Cross functional collaboration experience
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex and/or difficult concepts clearly and concisely to internal and external stakeholders 
  • Experience and conceptual understanding of annual cycle and strategic planning activities
  • MBA, CMA or CGMA

Education

 

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting
