This is a Senior System Administrators role within the IT Systems Support Wintel Team reporting to the IT Infrastructure Manager. The successful candidate will be a responsible for the design, build & configuration of Everything Windows on Physical, VMware & Cloud platform.
In addition to project related work, there is also a focus on the administration, maintenance and support of company wide infrastructure, including but not limited to Server (Physical, Virtual and Cloud based), Windows AD, MSExchange environment and infrastructure related applications.
Responsibilities:
- Technical Lead on project delivering infrastructure solutions from the design, implementation close out phase.
- Provide insightful and credible technology advice which balances the functionality, costs and risks of the suggested technologies
- Provide expertise in applying architectural governance for business and technical activities
- Expert knowledge in Microsoft Hybrid Exchange, M365 E5, Cisco ESA appliances, Mimecast Cloud Filtering, Barracuda C2C Backup, Email methodology (DMARC, SPF, BIMI)
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Server (up to 2022)
- Knowledge of web proxy technologies (Zscaler and Cisco Web Security Appliances)
- SQL server exposure
- Expert knowledge & support with Cloud Platforms (AWS / AZURE)
- Create and maintain full documentation for relevant systems that are being deployed as part of projects.
- Monitor and analyse system performances.
- Actively improve operations, policies and procedures
Requirements
- IT Degree (or some directly related experience)
- Have between 10+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in Citrix, AD, MS Exchange is essential.
- Be a self-starter, results and detail-oriented
- Have the ability to work under pressure to meet aggressive deadlines
- Have experience with modern Microsoft operations technologies
- Have strong communication and people skills, and enjoy working with other teams
- Strong technical skills are required to understand the infrastructure environment and meet the firms needs.
