We’re looking for senior systems engineer to join our ranks. The ideal candidate will contribute to the day-to-day operations of all things Microsoft 365 Services, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Windows Active Directory.  If you have in-depth knowledge and expertise that includes server operating systems, hardware, networking, virtualization, and cloud technologies, we want to hear from you. And is capable of working autonomously, driving initiatives, and resolving challenges with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and development long-term strategic goals for enterprise infrastructure and operations, including servers and M365 offerings across multiple domains, tenants, and user bases in a large complex environment.
  • Coordinate with various internal teams to meet corporate objectives using on-prem and cloud environments.
  • Write and maintain custom scripts (PowerShell) to remediate issues and automate tasks.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Assess existing systems and processes and recommend ways to improve efficiency and reliability of both systems and processes.
  • Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems on servers.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers and peers to provide advice, knowledge transfer, and team development.
  • Research, evaluate, and integrate new technologies, ensuring our systems remain innovative and efficient.
  • Execute system implementations while ensuring seamless integration and operational success with various support teams.

Core Strengths and Skills

  • 5+ years of the following:
    • Senior-level engineering experience in an enterprise IT supporting and implementing infrastructure in a highly available multi-site environment
    • Experience as a mid-level systems or junior engineer
    • Managing and supporting M365, Teams, and Sharepoint Online
    • Advanced-level Powershell scripting
    • Advanced-level expertise Implementing and managing Exchange Server 2016+, Exchange Online, Exchange Hybrid, Active Directory, GPOs, and Entra ID including Conditional Access policies, Enterprise applications, and SSO configurations.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office 365 Suite (Outlook, Distribution groups, Teams, OneDrive)
  • Advanced-level knowledge of the basic infrastructure technologies, e.g. LDAP, AD, DNS, IP, Licensing (Windows Server, M365/O365, Vmware).
  • Hands-on experience implementing VMware vSphere (ESX), including network and storage integration
  • Managing and implementing servers and services in Microsoft’s Azure cloud computing platform
  • Managing IT projects, priorities, resources, and deadlines
  • Strong working knowledge of network fundamentals
  • Develop, document, and maintain configurations, policies, procedures, and associated training plans
  • Ability to provide engineering and design support to build and implement public key infrastructure (PKI) systems along with certificate management for servers and applications used throughout the enterprise
  • Ability to work within organizational change control methods and processes
