Dental Hygienist Reviewer

As a Dental Hygienist Reviewer, you will be responsible for performing utilization review/medical management including prospective, concurrent, and retrospective review for all services.
This role is on-site at our Jackson, MS office.

Essential Functions

• Provide independent review decisions for prospective, concurrent, or retrospective utilization review/ management for dental cases. Cases can consist of dental and orthodontia cases.
• Cases failing to meet the criteria are referred to a peer reviewer. 
• Screen situations according to specific criteria to determine if care is appropriate.
• Refer cases that fail to meet criteria to peer reviewers.
• Ensure review is conducted thoroughly and within specified timeframes.
• Serve as liaison to peer reviewers, providers, facilities, and subscribers.
• Document medical information supporting decisions into the workflow documentation system, ensuring data is entered accurately and timely.

Requirements

• Licensed Dental Hygienist
• 1-2 years clinical experience
• Critical thinking
• Ability to work with Dental Providers
• Ability to work independently and part of a team
• Knowledge of medical coding/billing preferred
• Functional PC knowledge required
