Job Description:
The Asset Operations team: oversees all operational aspects of the private client mandates (Revolver, Delayed Draw, Term Loans, ABS, CMBS, Privately Originated Loan) from trade input, settlement, to the on-going asset servicing life cycle events. The role will be client facing and liaising closely with deal teams.
Responsibilities:
Manage, process and provide oversight of the lifecycle of loans, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and adherence to the firm’s risk and control framework in all processing stages.
Act as a first point of escalation for internal and external stakeholders.
Lead the setup of new structures within the private whole loan space.
Support clients by maintaining and providing prompt and accurate service to external clients and internal departments.
Interact with clients and agents on position updates or trade related issues.
Provide allocations to clients on all securities to ensure proper funding and settlement.
Review daily cash and position reconciliations, with a focus on assisting with break resolution.
Research and resolve transaction breaks between internal system and custodians.
Monitor private deal pipeline to ensure client liquidity, operational readiness, and timely fundings.
Identify process gaps, perform root cause analysis, design and execute upon creative solutions to support streamlining processes with a focus on promoting efficiency and enhancing our risk controls.
Provide ongoing training and support for new team members as needed, with a strong focus on enabling a strong culture of risk and controls and excellent client service.
Qualifications:
Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to strong analytical and quantitative skills, the successful candidate should meet the following qualifications:
7+ years of experience in structured products or a middle-office operations role.
Working knowledge of security operations with loans, fixed income products, private assets, and the trade lifecycle.
Strong analytical skills and detail oriented.
Works effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment while handling multiple projects.
Strong work ethic, professional integrity, and a positive attitude.
Strong teamwork skills; works well across multiple levels of the organization.
