The Position
Roche Diabetes Care, Inc. seeks a Senior R&D Engineer Software Automation Testing at its Indianapolis, IN location.
Duties: Within global pharmaceutical and medical diagnostics company, design, build, and execute day-to-day product automation testing activities for delivering high quality digital solutions within the Roche Platform environment; as well as defining/ implementing device and mobile automation test framework and tool use strategies inclusive of Runscope and DataDog software tools. Ensure comprehensive and automated test plans are in place for rapid testing of new product features, immediately notifying development teams to failure in an automated fashion. Participate and/or lead agile testing delivery teams, including internal resources and third party suppliers, consultants and contractors. Define delivery strategies and collaborate across global development teams within global ARTs to deliver successful automation of digital solutions Design and build comprehensive and structured functional and non-functional test plans, create and manage automated test scripting, test execution, and reporting data to global internal development teams. Position allows telecommuting up to 3 days per week.
Education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or related Engineering field plus five (5) years of progressive experience in the job offered or related position
Special Requirements: Experience and/or education must include:
Computer programming (Java/Python/Javascript) to create complex automation scripts to tests platform component integration
Amazon Web Services (AWS), setting up testing environments and ensuring cloud-based infrastructure support
DevOps infrastructure and process to monitor test script execution
Automation Framework to architect and develop automated test solutions and outcomes
Use of tools TestNG, JUnit to facilitate script development and execution
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location for this position of Indiana is $118,224 to $205,000 per year. Actual pay within the range will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
