Examples of duties
This position oversees key activities in the Social Services Aide Unit to ensure children and families receive support that meets agency standards and their unique needs. The role includes direct supervision, training responsibilities, and collaboration with other unit leaders. As a County Casework Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:
- Direct Supervision: Assign work and cases to Social Service Aids, review work, and complete performance evaluations
- Daily Operations: Approve leave, sign timesheets and payroll sheets; collaborate with other supervisors, caseworkers, and managers to oversee Aids’ work; and participate in the supervisory on-call rotation
- Compliance Monitoring: Evaluate case results to ensure work aligns with approved plans, care standards, and legal requirements
- Training Support: Provide training to new and existing Aids on agency policies, procedures, best practices, and ongoing updates
- Department Planning: Help review and recommend improvements to policy and procedures that enhance operations and ensure compliance with changes to overall regulations or guidance
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. You will also work on-call 24/7 on rotating basis. These irregular hours include evenings and weekends.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and education which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.
