About the role

The Arc Lexington is Looking for a Director of the Nigra Arts Center.

The Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts provides a creative educational resource for people of all ages and abilities while celebrating the arts through classes, entertainment, exhibitions, and special events. As the Director of the Nigra Arts Center, you will develop and administrate all facets of the center, ensuring inclusivity and viability. Your responsibilities encompass overseeing operations and communications, including press releases, social media, and newsletters. You'll coordinate with external partners, secure sponsorships, and support fundraising events. Additionally, you'll ensure the center offers diverse activities, focusing on providing opportunities for people with disabilities to grow their skills and talents.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree is required. Preferably in communications, marketing, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in public relations, including managing comprehensive marketing and communications programs over several years.
  • Proficiency in organizational skills, verbal and written communication, as well as spreadsheet and database software. Experience with Microsoft Publisher, PowerPoint, and Outlook is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, fostering effective communication with internal management and the wider community.
