Zeeco Europe is seeking a skilled and motivated Internal Sales Engineer to join our team in Rutland. This role focuses on evaluating customer RFQs and preparing technical and commercial proposals for aftermarket components and ancillary equipment related to Zeeco’s installed capital equipment base. While primarily office-based, the successful candidate will be encouraged to develop the technical confidence to engage directly with customers through periodic site visits.

Key responsibilities
- As our newly appointed Internal Sales Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Evaluating and understanding customer enquiries, including detailed design specifications, industry codes, and standards.
- Preparing and submitting timely, accurate technical and commercial proposals to end users, EPCs, Zeeco representatives, and trading houses.
- Reading and understanding AutoCAD drawings, electrical schematics, and P&IDs.
- Participating in hands-on workshop training to assemble and disassemble flare and burner pilots, gaining practical product knowledge.
- Supporting Zeeco’s Turnaround Team on-site during refurbishment projects to deepen understanding of Zeeco and competitor equipment.
- Setting product pricing in line with established mark-up and commission guidelines.
- Defining and delivering contractual documentation that meets both client and internal standards.
- Providing continuous support during the bid phase, addressing technical and commercial queries.
- Assisting in final negotiations to secure optimal outcomes for Zeeco.
- Creating detailed spare parts recommendations for Zeeco and competitor equipment.
- Delivering clear handovers to the Aftermarket execution team, outlining scope, specifications, and budget.
- Supporting colleagues with additional duties aligned to your skills and experience.
- Upholding and improving Zeeco’s ISO9001:2015 Quality Management System.
- Promoting and adhering to the Company Health and Safety Policy.
- Embodying and promoting Zeeco’s core values.
Key requirements:
- Educational Background: Minimum HNC /HND or equivalent in engineering (electrical, mechanical, chemical, or a related field).
- Industry Experience: Solid experience in sales/proposals or a relevant industry, with experience in fired combustion equipment or process knowledge being advantageous.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, keyboard and written communication abilities.
- Team Player: A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Attention to Detail: Resourceful, well-organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.
- Decision Making: Confident, assertive, and capable of making decisions autonomously.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to Travel: Open to international travel as required.
