Pharmacy Technician III - FT - Days - Overlook

• Proficient in the use of various pharmacy automation systems and electronic medical record
• Skilled in medication preparation and delivery, including controlled dangerous substances and hazardous medications.   
• Competent in the safe and accurate preparation of non-sterile and sterile medications according to USP 795, 797 and 800 guidelines.
• Follow proper medication safety practices (e.g., look alike sound alike, high alert, expirations and recalls, temperature and humidity documentation)
• Assist with onboarding, initial training of new team members as well as ongoing educational and training needs of the pharmacy personnel, when appropriate. 
• Cross-trained in specialized technician III role as it relates to pharmacy operations and medication management (e.g., controlled substance support, automated medication system support) 
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to detail and teamwork 

Education/Experience
1. High School Diploma or equivalent required
2. Hospital Pharmacy experienced preferred
3. PTCB or NHA certification active or acquire within 6 months of hire
4. Current active registration with the State of NJ Board of Pharmacy required
