The Opportunity: 

ECI has an exciting opportunity for an Financial Analyst.  The successful FP&A Analyst is someone with a passion for financial analysis and possesses strong business acumen and critical thinking skills.  In this role, you will leave your mark on the reporting structure of ECI rather than “fit a mold.”  This position also involves interaction throughout all levels of the organization and is an excellent opportunity for exposure to the C-Suite as well as global leaders.  

This is a hybrid role with a preference for candidates based in the NY tri-state area.

What you will do:

• Analyze and summarize key data including revenue, expense, and profitability trends and other relevant information
• Assist with creating and maintaining the forecasting and budgeting model, including midyear reforecast
• Produce monthly recurring revenue trend analysis, presenting any variances to appropriate team
• Organize, maintain, and document complex models and spreadsheets
• Supports generation of reports on a regular weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual basis as well as ad hoc daily reports using PowerBI and Excel
• Compare actual versus forecasted performance; identify root causes of variances and present to management
• Own preparation of rolling 13-week cash flow forecast, involving strong collaboration with newly formed billing team, our Customer Care Center.
• Coordinate with developer resources in India in order to tailor PowerBI reporting to evolving strategic needs of firm
• Understand and effectively communicate nuances regarding complex offerings of ECI and the financial trends of each, e.g., Product vs Service org and each’s respective retention, margin, revenue quality metrics
• Partner with Business Financial Analyst to assist senior management on special projects, including M&A

Who you are:

• 3-5+ years experience as a Financial Analyst or Business Analyst
• College diploma or University degree BS/BA with relevant work experience as a business/financial analyst
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of multitasking in a high pace environment, effectively and efficiently
• Proven skills in account analysis, problem solving and strong attention to detail
• Ability to influence others using reason as well as data
• Experience with financial statements and accounting concepts
• High degree of proficiency in Power Point and Word and advanced Excel skills
• Strong organizational skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-starter with excellent teamwork and who possesses the ability to work independently
• Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders by managing expectations both within and across teams
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, results-oriented environment
• Ability to maintain accuracy, consistency, and quality while managing multiple projects
• Ability to handle restricted, confidential, private, or personal information
• Exceptional people skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills.
• Highly self-motivated and directed, with exacting attention to detail

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience working at MSP and/or with private equity sponsors
• Experience working with MS Great Plains or similar ERP and Salesforce
