Holman Upfitting has a great opportunity for a Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team in Kansas City!

  • Starting pay: $23 /hr.
  • Shift: Monday - Friday 6:00am-2:30pm

What will you do?

  • Perform detailed inspections to verify workmanship, build alignment, and operational performance of completed fabrication pieces.
  • Examine manufactured assemblies (like utility bodies and cab guards) for structural defects such as cracks, rust, and wear, and document findings for repair.
  • Examine paint for defects such as chips, cracks, and shade variances, ensuring decals are correctly placed and aligned according to customer specifications.
  • Use software to ensure a comprehensive inspection process; ensuring the completion of all work order items and confirming all installation aspects are finalized.
  • Document the manufactured assembly condition through photos and the completion of necessary verification forms.
  • Record and analyze errors and variations to assist in training shop employees.
  • Communicate inspection results, suggestions, and issues to relevant departments for process improvement.
  • Adhere to safety policies and cleanliness standards, exercising caution when operating and moving large parts with lifting systems.
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned

What are we looking for?

  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Experience in quality inspection process required, including use of inspection tools equipment and software.
  • Ability to understand blueprints and critical welding requirements.
  • Experience with incoming parts quality assurance
  • Must pass a physical, drug test, and criminal background check prior to employment.
