Location:

 

Work Schedule:

  • Part-Time (48 hours biweekly)

  • Evening Shift

  • Rotating Weekend and Holiday Commitment

  • No On Call Commitment

Job Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree (Required)

  • Up to 1 year experience clinical experience as required by MLT program at a hospital (Required)

  • Other MLT - Medical Technician - Certified from ASCP American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or American Medical Technologists (AMT) Upon Hire Required

 

Job Overview:

This position is responsible for performing a full range of laboratory tests, confirming the accuracy of test results, and reporting laboratory findings to the doctors, pathologists, or other physicians. This position may work in any of the major areas of the laboratory: Transfusion Service, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology/Immunology, Toxicology, Special Chemistry and Fibrinolysis. Operates and maintains a variety of laboratory instruments. Utilizes laboratory computer system in performance of duties. This position maintains strict adherence to established policies and procedures, and works under the supervision of a general supervisor or medical technologist. Direct supervision is not required for specimen processing, test performance or result reporting.
