The Lourie Center Therapeutic Nursery Preschool seeks to hire an experienced Social Worker who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

The Lourie Center for Children's Social & Emotional Wellness is a private, non-profit agency with a mission to improve the social and emotional health of young children and their families through prevention, early intervention, education, research and training.

As an Assistant Director you will:
• Oversees the implementation and updating of the treatment strategies to be used in the therapeutic classroom. Implements effective crisis intervention, including Crisis Prevention Intervention. Supports staff in the classroom as needed.
• Participates in training staff and student interns and providing ongoing feedback and performance reviews. Provides reflective supervision to staff and ensures the supervision of students/trainees.
• Leads weekly multidisciplinary team meetings to review and support academic and therapeutic interventions that promote student progress. Joins daily morning meetings as needed. Facilitates team process for cohesive and effective service delivery.
• Collaborates with the Care Navigator and Director in the intake and enrollment process for new students. Develops and maintains therapeutic relationship with the children and parents/caregivers.
• Assists with recruitment and recommends hiring, training of new staff, promotions and terminations with the TNP Director.
• Develops and maintains liaisons with other professionals and organizations in the community. Attends meetings with behavioral health administration, local school meetings, child welfare, and other agencies as needed.
• Provides administrative support for the program including reporting, classroom scheduling, monthly billing, time keeping, and other tasks needed.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications include:
• Master’s degree in Mental Health Discipline preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• At least 2 years in mental health or educational setting.
• At least one year of progressively responsible experience in supervisory/administrative responsibilities.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker preferred.
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm

Pay Range:

$63,510.88 - $92,090.78

If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.

Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), this position is classified as:

United States of America (Exempt)
