Overview: 

The Senior UX/Visual Designer is an important role that will help shape the visual impact and look-and-feel of the Neo4j website, as well as the usability. The ideal candidate can help the content and product marketing teams shape and design web pages, identifying gaps that need to be filled in. A very good understanding of branding, page journeys, site optimization, and the ability to synthesize coherent looks from disparate visual cues is essential.

In this role you will:

• Bring your expertise in UX and visual design, collaborating with a small team of designers and developers,  to evolve and uplevel the Neo4j website
• Have the creative freedom to experiment and innovate visual design across our web properties to enhance customer usability, experience, and journeys
• Proactively facilitate and build relationships across the organization including product, marketing, sales, and other teams globally to create innovative user experiences
• Contribute to internal processes to document articulate and clear briefs, estimate resourcing and time management, and generally evolve and scale our design practices
• Grow, shape, and contribute towards our web design system
• Contribute web marketing strategies to optimize website performance, including but not limited to web traffic increase, content richness, and conversion rates
• Evaluate and improve existing website journeys and site map

You may be a great fit for this role if:

• You have 5-10 years of experience
• You have a deep understanding of design principles, branding, and web accessibility standards including WCAG compliance 
• You have a strong portfolio demonstrating your methodical thinking and beautiful web design work
• Experience with mobile and responsive design
• You’re excited to make a strong impact on the company’s largest customer-facing marketing product
• You have a solid understanding of the web’s technical opportunities and limitations, including basic HTML and CSS (coding not required). 
• Knowledge of Figma, Adobe CC, design fundamentals, file management, and output

Bonus points:

• Interest in interaction and/or experiential design
• Experience with UX research and CRO testing
• Previous experience in the technology industry, B2B, and enjoys designing for developers and data scientists
• Understanding of CSS and CSS frameworks and how they apply to page structure

The annual base salary range for this position based in the United States is listed below. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on Neo4j’s compensation practices, job related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and trainings, in addition to geographic location. Based on the factors above, Neo4j utilizes the full width of the range.

In addition to the range below, US employees are eligible for a stock option grant and certain roles are eligible for an annual bonus. Employees in this position are also eligible to participate in the Company’s standard benefit programs, which currently include the following: medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401(k), paid time
