The City of Peoria has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Real Estate Administrator to join their Development and Engineering Department. This position will perform tasks associated with property acquisition and management work involving the acquisition, leasing, sale, abandonment, and/or exchange of real property involving private, city, county, state, and federal lands. This position will also be responsible for supervising real estate staff, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:
- Experience in a municipal or government setting.
- Functions of real estate appraisal and right-of-way acquisition.
- Right-of-way sale and purchase requirements.
- Federal and State Relocation Laws, regulations and guidelines.
- Federal, State, County and City laws, regulations, and ordinances related to real property acquisition, use and disposal.
- The ability to read construction plans, as-builts, technical specifications, engineering drawings, etc.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience working with consultants and stakeholders.

QualificationsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
- Five years of progressively responsible experience in real property acquisition, land management, appraisal or relocation services including two years of supervisory and/or management experience.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Must have at time of hire and able to maintain a valid Arizona driver license.
