Facility Plant Operator - Water Pollution Control

This position performs a variety of tasks in the operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant facility. It will be a night shift position after the initial training period.
What you’ll do:
- Operates pumps, valves, mechanical mixers, flow monitoring devices, chemical feed systems.
- Take accurate readings on equipment and records data.
- Performs general preventative maintenance of equipment such as lubricate, adjust and inspect various facility equipment.
- Sampling of water, wastewater, sludge
- Performs general grounds keeping and housekeeping tasks

Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Related experience preferred. Must possess and maintain a valid Class C Kansas driver’s license and city insurable driving record. Please review the Insurability Guidelines
Entry rate of pay: $19.67 per hour. (+$1.00-night shift)
